Servewell Takeaways is the trading name of Daniel Coughlin, a UK sole trader. Daniel Coughlin is the controller responsible for deciding how enquiry and website visitor information is used. Information we collect
We only collect information that is useful for running this website, responding to enquiries and keeping the service secure.
- Enquiry form details: your name, takeaway name, phone number, email address and the current ordering setup you choose to describe. We also record the submission time, IP address and browser user agent for enquiry administration and security. Pilot applications include the business and eligibility information you submit.
- Business relationship records: correspondence, agreed proposals, invoices, service requests and account information needed to supply and administer your service.
- Optional first-party visitor analytics: after consent, page path, page title, referrer, screen size, browser language, timezone, user agent and a hashed visitor signal. We do not store raw IP addresses in the analytics dashboard.
- Optional Google Ads tracking: after consent, Google may receive information about visits and advertising interactions in accordance with Google's own privacy terms.
- Admin session cookie: a secure cookie is used only for the protected Servewell admin area.
- Technical logs: server, hosting and security logs may include IP address, browser details, request time and requested URL.

Legal basis
We use enquiry and business contact information in our legitimate interests of responding to requests, providing support and managing business relationships. Where you contract with us as an individual or sole trader, we also use information to take steps at your request before a contract and to perform that contract. We process records needed to meet accounting or other legal duties on the basis of legal obligation. Optional first-party analytics and Google Ads tracking operate only after consent, which you can withdraw using Cookie settings. Necessary technical and enquiry security records support our legitimate interests in protecting the website and preventing abuse. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Cookies and analytics
The public Servewell website asks before starting optional first-party analytics or loading Google Ads tracking. Rejecting optional tracking does not prevent you from viewing the site, using the calculator or submitting an enquiry.
Your preference is stored in local storage under servewell_optional_tracking_consent until you change it or clear browser storage. You can change that preference at any time using the control. The protected sales-site admin area uses a secure, HttpOnly session cookie with a 12-hour maximum lifetime. The public enquiry form does not need you to accept optional tracking. Restaurant ordering sites have separate basket and session requirements.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. Our hosting suppliers are IONOS and Fasthosts, and our business email uses a Zen-hosted cPanel service. These suppliers process the website, enquiry or correspondence information needed to provide their services. Google receives advertising-related information only when optional tracking is accepted; see Google’s privacy policy. We may also share relevant records with professional advisers or authorities where necessary for advice, legal obligations or legal claims.
International processing
Supplier services, including Google’s services when you consent, may involve processing outside the UK. Processing locations and the relevant contractual transfer arrangements depend on the supplier and service. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your data. We do not represent that all information stays in the UK.
How long we keep information
Retention depends on the purpose of the record. For enquiries, we consider whether the request is still open and whether there is an ongoing business discussion. For customer correspondence and invoices, we consider the service relationship, accounting obligations and any unresolved dispute or legal claim. For analytics and security logs, we consider their continuing usefulness for traffic analysis, troubleshooting and incident investigation. The current enquiry system does not apply automatic expiry to all records; deletion requires a review rather than occurring after a promised fixed number of days. Contact us to request deletion or ask about a specific record.
Your rights
Depending on the situation, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability. To make a request, email sales@servewell.uk.
You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your information is handled. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Providing the required enquiry fields allows us to respond; you can instead contact us by email or telephone. We do not use this sales website to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Restaurant orders
This notice covers Servewell’s sales website and business relationships. The restaurant named on a food-order website is responsible for its food-order processing and privacy information. Where Servewell processes order information on a restaurant’s behalf, the restaurant’s notice and our data-processing agreement describe that role.
